My view last night after Argentina’s nuclear power plant Atucha went offline because a land-clearing fire affected power lines, leaving half the country (pop 46m) without electricity. Intentional fires to clear land for soy, cattle and gated communities burn everywhere non-stop, reddening eyes, burning throats. The press ignores it. Government response? It stopped publishing fire stats. Current summer is hottest in history of Buenos Aires, weather bureau said yesterday. No one carried the story.

(Admittedly, one was my daughter grabbing onto me/them when a big wave hit - she didn’t know what to do with them so threw them back into the white water).
I twice had my glasses smashed playing sport (blood streaming over the glass)
I’ve worn briefly two pairs of glasses. But I noticed someone on a teams call do the same the other day.

Haystack Rock Blue Hour
Haystack Rock is the dominate rock feature on Oregon's Canon Beach just south of Astoria Oregon.
This beach is a true gem. It is all that much nicer when you have a beautiful sunset fading into the blue hour. The beach is wide and the ocean is shallow at this point, so the waves roll out for a good distance leaving a beautiful reflective surface for the setting sun.
