Question: Are people still throwing shade on #InfoSec folks using Yahoo email addresses? My new mentee has one and I’m debating whether or not to mention something, to basically protect him from judgement I guess. Thoughts?
@InfoSecSherpa I wasn’t aware that was a thing, but if so, maybe an opportunity to explain that somehow negatively judging somebody by their choice of mail provider (and especially one used by hundreds of millions of people and protected by the fine Yahoo Paranoids) is more than just a little silly.
@jschauma Once in a while you see someone being like “I delete any job applications if they have a Yahoo email address” and it’s kind of like really do ya? 🙄
@InfoSecSherpa @jschauma could be worse - they could have a Gmail address (just saying)
