The frequent mastodon.social DDoS attacks (and I’m not blaming or even complaining — @Gargron does great work and I’m now donating $8 a month) really do make me think I should probably migrate to @coachtony’s @medium instance or do a masto.host thing. I know that the biggest instance falling down still impacts the whole network but being on an instance that “feels” broken is just frustrating. I just wish I could import posts without having to hack SQL tables.

@film_girl @Gargron @coachtony @medium importing posts is inevitable, I haven’t dug into it yet, it’s on my todo to look at how this could be done - but surely it can’t be too complicated… (we’ll see I guess)
