It's my view that Bluesky is vaporware.
@darnell agrees with me.
As he mentions in this blog post, there's rival protocols to Bluesky -- some that do that same thing -- that were introduced this year, and they already have adoption.
Meanwhile, Bluesky was announce in 2019 -- and nothing's been built.

@atomicpoet @darnell I’m starting to imagine an app/architecture that sits on top of any and all of these paradigms (twitter, mastodon, instragram, newthing…) and scapes and abstracts them to present things (of your choosing in a way of your choosing) and interact (cross posts as applicable).
Done to the point where people don’t actually know what backends they are really using.
