Got off my call with Reddit just now about the API. Bad news unless I come up with 20 million dollars (not joking). Appreciate boosts. https://www.reddit.com/r/apolloapp/comments/13ws4w3/had_a_call_with_reddit_to_discuss_pricing_bad/
I've maintained for many years that AR will be far, far more consequential in technological progress for the average person than VR. Yet for years all I heard about was VR. It's AR that will be integrated throughout daily life. #AugmentedReality #AR #technology #futurism

A man is sitting next to his newborn baby's cot. From the other room his father comes in and lays a hand on his shoulder.
"You've done really well, mate. You'll make a brilliant dad."
The son looks up and smiles with a bit of anxiety in his voice. "Thanks, Dad. I really hope so."
The old man pulls out a small book from his back pocket and hands it to his son. "Now that you're a parent, I'd like you to have this. I studied it for the first year of your life and memorised every single one. I'd love you to use it for my grandson."
The son looks at the cover which is titled 1000 Dad Jokes To Annoy Your Children. He looks up with tears in his eyes. "Dad...I'm honoured."
His dad smiles: "Hello, Honoured. I'm Dad."
Hey, you: Get a load of this cloud! High-altitude ice clouds (like this one) can help regulate Earth's temperature by reflecting energy from the Sun.
A new @NASAEarth mission called PoISIR aims to study them in greater detail to improve climate forecasts. https://go.nasa.gov/3IAfgjj

@stux Oh… that makes a lot of sense. I was born in Canada, but grew up on my grandparents’ farm. They had immigrated from the Netherlands to Canada when my father was a small child after WW2. They were the same. Zero respect for the natural world around them, and I could never figure that out. They came from generations of Dutch farmers so may have just brought the mind set with them.
