I'm a postdoc in #computerscience at the University of #Vienna, working in #algorithms.

I am interested in the design, analysis, and experimental evaluation of algorithms and especially in #AlgorithmEngineering , which means that I am studying how algorithms perform in practice and how to make them better and/or faster in real-world scenarios. I particularly like dynamic algorithms, which can also deal with changes in the data and don't have to recompute from scratch.

When measured by energy required to move people around, it's obvious that the real game changer in the EV field is not a Tesla, or even a car (although microcars come closer). The revolution here is the #ebike.
It's cheaper, safer, more efficient, more fun and it makes users healthier and happier. Although it also shares the problem of sustainability for battery production, the scale of this issue for ebikes is drastically reduced (close to 100x)
And the charging infrastructure already exists.

The antibiotic and probiotic manufacturers should call a truce until they figure it out.
