#SynthSaturday bonus content!
This GILBERT is a relatively simple #analogSynth I built. It’s based around a few classic Roland #synthesizer designs from the late 70s/early 80s.
In the first picture, you can see the controls for the various sub-blocks of the synth, including the VCO and VCF.
The other photos are just fun shots of the guts from while I was building it.
Dozens of tech companies, including major social media firms like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook and TikTok, were asked to hand in a report this month on how they implemented the EU's anti-disinformation charter.
Who didn’t respond? Twitter.

I guess if I'd known that this tweet was going to "change the world", I would have gone back and capitalized the E in The Economist.

Until the US is safely walkable or bikeable, people will continue to buy urban tanks in self-defense.
Since my kids were three years old, they've known to raise their hand as high as they can and wave it around whenever they hear a car engine start.
Some strangers smile and wave back when they see my kids do this. They think it's cute! But it's not really that cute.
@bthalpin I think I’ve seen this movie.
This is a formal portrait of the surviving Apollo astronauts. That's Buzz Aldrin in the silver tux. I have to imagine the conversation went like this:
ALDRIN: Ok, let's get started
PHOTOGRAPH: Mr. Aldrin, you are aware that this is a formal portrait?
BA: I'm not an idiot son.
PG: Well your suit-
BA: Son, have you been to the moon?
PG: No sir.
BA: Well I have. The moon. The motherlovin' moon. In a tin can run by a calculator and powered by a can of sterno. (1/)
@drmaddkap I’ve been in live audiences for two of the Apollo astronauts (all of whom have my respect and admiration).
• Charlie Duke is a great speaker and easy to listen to, and you’d love to have him at your BBQ.
• Buzz got to say whatever he wanted whenever he thought it, the other very professional and Astro/space people just had to let him, then they’d get back to the script. Both were fantastic fun, and I’m glad to have seen them in person.
